There are people who go after your humanity. Who tell you the light in your heart is a weakness. Don't believe it. Its an old tactic of cruel people to kill kindness in the name of virtue. There's nothing wrong with love. - Our favorite priest
That about sums up my thoughts. To show love is our greatest strength, and to be honest, it's our only weapon against the world. Showing love is the only way we can be different, and the only thing that speaks to the heart of a dying world. Good post, though! Love's really what it's all about!

I agree, Casey. And I really am working on slowing down and trying to more fully realize what it means to live a life of prayer – even when I don't have a complete picture of what that looks like. Certainly, we see elements of it in the Gospels, in saints, and in each other, but you're right about it being a mystery.

I like mysteries. We need more of them. ;-)

Blessings on you as well,
J.

It's a simple suggestion really. But in reality, it's very difficult. And I don't think it's necessary to know exactly what's meant by becoming a man of prayer, but perhaps that "mysteries" side of me coming out. Remember, it's the journey that matters more than the destination, and since your destination is in place, take a little time to slow down, and just realize that the journey's beautiful. What's more beautiful than a dance of trust and reliance?
